Dallas Desperados News Release
The Dallas Desperados will hold their only mini-camp of the offseason Thursday, Dec. 5 through Saturday, Dec. 7. Practices on Thursday and Friday will take place at Texas Stadium, with Saturday's practices taking place at the Dallas Cowboys practice facility in Valley Ranch. In the event of inclement weather, alternative practice sites will be determined at that time.
The team's first gathering of its players since falling to the Chicago Rush in the playoffs last August will be an opportunity for the skill players to become familiar with new offensive coordinator Steve Thonn's offensive scheme. Linemen are not required to attend the practices.

The Desperados kick off the 2003 season on Feb. 2 by hosting the New York Dragons. NBC Sports â in their first season associated with the AFL â will televise the game, as well as up to 70 other AFL games throughout the season. The 2003 AFL season will consist of 16 regular season games â eight home games and eight road games â instead of 14 games as in the past.
