Desmond Ferguson Named CBA Player of the Week

ALBANY, NY (February 20, 2007) - The Continental Basketball Association is pleased to announce that Minot Skyrockets guard Desmond Ferguson has been named the CBA Player of the Week for the week ending February 19, 2007.

The Continental Basketball Association is pleased to announce that Minot Skyrockets guard Desmond Ferguson has been named the CBA Player of the Week for the week ending February 19, 2007. This is the second player from Minot to earn Player of the Week this season.

In two games this week, Ferguson's 3-point accuracy was breathtaking - in a Friday night road victory against the Albany Patroons, the 6'7" guard from the University of Detroit hit 10 of 13 3-point shots, the 10 completions are a high for any player this season. Ferguson finished the game with 34 points in a 124-112 [5-2] Minot win, including 30 points earned from beyond the arc. Three days later, in a Monday night matchup against the Pittsburgh Xplosion, Ferguson again led the team in scoring with 28 points, including 5 of 8 shots connected from behind the 3-point line, finishing the week going 15 for 21 at a distance of at least 23'9" away from the hoop.
