Arkansas Diamonds News Release

(North Little Rock, AR) - The Arkansas Twisters record setting combination of quarterback Kyle Rowley and receiver Chris Denney were selected first team All-af2 as announced by the arenafootball2 league office. Defensive linemen Tito Hannah and Neil Purvis were selected second team All-af2.

Rowley ranked in the top five in nearly every quarterback category around the league while re-writing the Twisters record book. He led the af2 with a quarterback rating of 125.20, total offense (4500 yards), and pass completions (379). He set Twisters records in each league leading category while setting new team records with 89 touchdowns passes, and 4393 passing yards. Rowley also became the first Twisters' quarterback to throw for 400 passing yards in a game.

No Twisters' player had the year Chris Denney had. He was assigned after the fifth game of the season and shattered every major receiving record the Twisters have. He finished the season with a Twisters record and af2 leading 44 receiving touchdowns and 45 overall. He hauled in a Twisters record 1505 receiving yards and he averaged 136.2 yards per game, easily the best in the league. Denney had the top two receiving games in the af2 with games of 237 and 228 to become the first Twisters' receiver to have 200 receiving yard games.

Hannah and Purvis anchored a defense that was ranked among the best in the af2. The Twisters ranked sixth in the league in defense, while Hannah led the team with 11.5 sacks. Purvis came to the Twisters two years after winning an af2 championship with current Twisters coach Chris Siegfried.
