
Delta and Bulldogs give teddy bears to Cincinnati Children's Child Life

DAYTON, OH-The Delta Airlines Community Partner and the Dayton Bulldogs delivered 60 teddy bears to the Division of Child Life at the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center on Thursday, May 4.
Sharon McLeod and Lori Tonnis accepted the teddy bears on behalf of the Division of Child Life. McLeod, the program's Senior Clinical Director, said the bears will be used in playrooms and activities designed to help patients cope with being at the hospital.
On behalf of the Delta Airlines Community Partner, Representative Teresa Valentine joined Bulldogs DB Jermaine Woods in presenting the teddy bears to Child Life.
Child Life is focused on preparing family and patients for hospital procedures, whether inpatient or outpatient. Through the program, patients are provided opportunities for therapeutic play and developmental activities. Child Life services range from activity centers to bedside activities and from tutoring programs to family movie nights.
