DEKALB $10,000 Shoot to Win Contest Returns for Second WHL Season
September 27, 2023 - Western Hockey League (WHL) News Release
Calgary, Alta. - The Western Hockey League announced today the renewal of its corporate partnership agreement with Bayer, and the return of the DEKALB© Shoot to Win contest.
DEKALB seed offers Western Canadian farmers high performing canola, corn and soybean seed with premium characteristics today's farmers are looking for: powerful performance, excellent genetics and innovative trait packages, all backed by Bayer.
"The team behind DEKALB is thrilled to continue our relationship with the WHL," says Komie Hossini, Brand and Advertising Manager for DEKALB West. "The WHL is an establishment that can be considered pivotal to surrounding farming communities, with a valuable sport and entertainment offering for Western Canadian families. This year we're expanding our presence to more markets and upping the ante of the Shoot to Win contest, making this exciting event easier to win than ever before - similar to how DEKALB canola offers customers more chances to succeed, through an easier and faster harvest."
The 2023-24 WHL season will represent the second campaign in which DEKALB and the WHL will join forces to bring fans the DEKALB Shoot to Win contest across eight WHL markets in Western Canada. Fans in Brandon, Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Moose Jaw, Prince Albert, Red Deer, Regina and Swift Current can all look forward to opportunities to compete for a grand prize of $10,000 in each market through the DEKALB Shoot to Win contest.
In addition to a $10,000 grand prize in each market, fans will have the opportunity to compete for WHL Club prize packs valued at $200 as well as other cash prizes valued at $500. With the DEKALB Shoot to Win contest taking place from the near blueline, three competitors are well positioned for an opportunity to walk away with great prizes.
"The WHL is pleased to welcome DEKALB for a second season as a valued corporate partner," commented WHL Commissioner Ron Robison. "With the support of DEKALB, the WHL is excited to build upon its commitment to offer a leading fan engagement experience by delivering quality entertainment through the addition of the DEKALB Shoot to Win competition. We look forward to seeing fans compete for great prizes in markets across Western Canada this season."
