
Defensive Switch Brings Back Sejna

INDIANAPOLIS, IN-- The Indianapolis Ice announced today that the team has re-signed defenseman Milan Sejna (MEE-lahn SAY-na) and released rookie defenseman Jamie Carroll.
Sejna, who was in training camp with the Ice, will make his 2002-03 regular season debut when the Ice travels to Shreveport, LA for a Thursday night battle with the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs.
The 24-year-old defenseman made his North American pro debut last season in the United Hockey League, splitting time with Quad City, Flint and Knoxville. In 61 combined games with the three clubs, the second-year blueliner posted 13 points (2G, 11A) and 31 penalty minutes.
After road games in Shreveport, LA on Thursday and Tulsa, OK on Friday, the Ice returns home Saturday for its first game of the year at the Conseco Fieldhouse. The Ice hosts the defending CHL Champion Memphis RiverKings for the second time this season with face-off slated for 7:00 p.m.
