Albuquerque, N.M. - It goes to show you the types of athletes being churned out within the Gladiator organization. Champions Indoor Football defensive leader Roosevelt Falls got the call up to work out with an NFL team. The Dallas Cowboys to be exact and Falls was officially invited to workout next week.

Defensive End Roosevelt Falls has time and time again shown why he is at the top of his game and one of the best players in the country. In just three games of the 2016 season, Falls leads the league in sacks with a total of 5.5 and 37 yards lost for opponents facing him. He also leads the league in forced fumbles with three and tallied a total of 24 tackles while averaging 2.5 tackles for losses per game resulting in 41 yards lost for opponents.

After an outstanding game against the Mesquite Marshals last Saturday, Roosevelt received a call earlier this week and it was one that could only bring the utmost excitement to a football player. The Dallas Cowboys wanted to see him in person for a workout. When Falls was asked about what the call was like, "I said are you serious? I'll be there! I'm humbled to have this opportunity. I am blessed with this opportunity."

Falls will partake in the Dallas Cowboys workout sometime next week.

Head Coach Bramante was asked about his thoughts on Roosevelt's look, "I'm thrilled another team is kicking the tires. We all know how special an athlete and person Roosevelt is." Bramante goes on the say, "Our main goal is to move athletes up!"

To be given an opportunity to play football at the highest level is one that athletes dream of. With a smile and excitement in his voice Roosevelt said, "It's big to get the opportunity to play at the highest level of football. These are the opportunities that every guy in every league is looking for. It has been 5 years for me since I was in college. There's nothing like doing what you love to do and working to support your family. I feel that my sacrifices are paying off."

When asked about playing with the Gladiators Falls only had the most honorable things to say, "The Gladiators organization has been an amazing step for me to get an opportunity with the Dallas Cowboys." Falls goes on to say about Coach Bramante, "It has been big to work with Coach B and one of the most beneficial moves in my career. He has knowledge and brings love to the table. Love gels players and helps athletes understand team chemistry which results in success."

Even though Falls will not be present the rest of this season, he felt that, "The Gladiators are definitely a championship contending team. I know that even though I won't be there, they will go far and be the most successful team in the league. My brothers on the team will take care of each other."

The big six foot two, 250 pound defensive end attended Louisiana Tech University and has played the indoor game with Arena Football League (AFL) teams including the Utah Blaze and New Orleans VooDoo. Getting to the next level just showcases how hard an athlete like Roosevelt has worked to get to where he is.

The Gladiators will still showcase a strong defensive line as guys like Fatu Ulale and John Hatton continue to stare down upcoming opponent offenses.

Duke City plays their next game at home on Sunday April 3rd, 2016 against the Amarillo Venom. Game time set for 4 PM at Tingley Coliseum.
