Defenseman Scott Drevitch re-sings in Adirondack

Glens Falls, NY – The Adirondack Frostbite today re-signed veteran defenseman Scott Drevitch, it was announced by Frostbite Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Marc Potvin. Drevitch will return to Adirondack for his second season. As per team policy, terms of the agreement are not being disclosed.

Last year in Adirondack, Drevitch was second on the team in points with 58 (10g, 48a). The 38-year-old was fourth amongst UHL defenseman in points and third amongst UHL defenseman in assists. Drevitch was also the only player on last year's team to have a plus/minus rating above even (+3). The Massachusetts native is playing in his 17th professional season, beginning his career in 1988-89 with the Maine Mariners (AHL). Before joining Adirondack, the veteran skated with Port Huron where he had 63 points, his fourth highest total in one season. Drevitch had his best year with the Tacoma Sabercats (WCHL) in 1997-98 scoring 75 points. After five straight years in Tacoma from 1997-02 Drevitch left as the highest scoring defenseman with 313 points. He earned top scoring defenseman honors in 1998-99 and 1999-00 as well as being named outstanding WCHL defenseman in 1998-99.

Before turning pro, Drevitch spent four years playing college hockey; one season at the University of Maine and three at UMass-Lowell. Drevitch joins veterans left wing Hugo Belanger, right wing Frank Littlejohn and center Sylvain Cloutier in returning to Glens Falls.

Season Tickets for the 2004-05 season are on sale now at the Frostbite front office located at the Glen Street entrance of the Glens Falls Civic Center.
