Defenders Hot Stove Postponed

NORWICH, CT- The Connecticut Defenders have announced today that their Charity Hot Stove & Silent Auction has been postponed due to a last minute scheduling conflict.

The event was supposed to be held this upcoming Thursday at the Wauregan Ballroom in downtown Norwich. The featured keynote speaker, Ed Randall from NY's WFAN and XM & Sirius Satellite Radio was prepared to remind Defenders fans that baseball season is right around the corner.

A new date has yet to be announced but team officials said a date closer to the season is likely. Stay tuned to www.ctdefenders.com for more information.

The Defenders home opener is scheduled for April 16th at 6:35pm against the Trenton Thunder. The season opens on the road against the Portland Sea Dogs on April 8th. The 2009 season marks the 15th season Norwich has had a Double-A franchise and the seventh season as a Giants affiliate.
