
Defenders Host Rock Cats In Eastern League Playoffs

NORWICH, CT- The opening round of the Eastern League Playoffs kicks off tomorrow at 6:35pm from Dodd Stadium as the Northern Division Champion Connecticut Defenders host inner-state rival New Britain in the best of five series.
This will be the first post season action at Dodd Stadium and first as a Giants affiliate in seven years. The Defenders tied the single season franchise mark in wins set back in 2001 with an 83-59 record.
*The Giants #1 prospect Madison Bumgarner was scheduled to be the Defenders Game 1 starter but will make his MLB Debut tonight at 10:15pm against the San Diego Padres instead.
The following playoff pitching rotation has been submitted:
Game 1: RHP- Deolis Guerra vs. LHP- Ben Snyder
Game 2: RHP- Matt Fox vs. RHP- Daryl Maday
Game 3: LHP- Ryan Mullins vs. LHP- Craig Clark
Game 4: RHP- Mike McCardell vs. TBA
