Debinha, Hinkle, and Williams Named to NWSL Team of the Month

CHICAGO - Debinha, Jaelene Hinkle, and Lynn Williams have been named to the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) Team of the Month, which is presented by Cutter® Insect Repellent and selected by the NWSL Media Association, for September of the 2019 NWSL season.
The North Carolina Courage had three players selected, while the Chicago Red Stars had six players, and Reign FC had two players.
GK: Alyssa Naeher (Chicago Red Stars): The goalkeeper made a total of 14 saves and only allowed two goals. Chicago Red Stars won all five games this month, allowing them to clinch a spot and as well as a home game in the NWSL Playoffs.
D: Jaelene Hinkle (North Carolina Courage): The defender scored her first goal of the season against Utah Royals FC. She holds a 72.7% tackle success rate along with a 71.5% pass success rate.
D: Lauren Barnes (Reign FC): The defender played all 90 minutes for Reign FC in the matches against Portland Thorns FC, Utah Royals FC, Sky Blue FC, and Orlando Pride. She holds a 71% tackle success rate and an 80% pass success rate.
D: Julie Ertz (Chicago Red Stars): The United States international started all five games for the Chicago Red Stars in September. She holds a 64% tackle success rate, 72.8% pass success rate, and 57%.6 duel success rate.
D: Casey Short (Chicago Red Stars): The defender had a game-winning goal against the Orlando Pride, moving her total for goals to two this season. She holds a 64.3% tackle success rate, along with a total of 42 clearances.
M: Beverly Yanez (Reign FC): The midfielder scored her first goal of the season against the Orlando Pride. She assisted in two separate games against Utah Royals FC and Portland Thorns FC, where her team clinched a sport in the NWSL Playoffs. Yanez has a 71.2% success passing rate.
M: Debinha (North Carolina Courage): The Brazilian native scored a total of three goals and had three assists. All three of her assists were against Portland Thorns FC, and she also scored a goal during that match. Her other two goals were against the Orlando Pride and Utah Royals FC. Debinha holds a 71.4% pass success rate.
M: Morgan Brian (Chicago Red Stars): Brian assisted the first goal of the match against the Houston Dash. She then scored the first of three goals for the Chicago Red Stars against Utah Royals FC. Brian holds an 81.3% pass success rate and 61.5% tackle success rate.
F: Yuki Nagasato (Chicago Red Stars): The attacker assisted in the game against Houston Dash. She also assisted in the match against Sky Blue FC, where she scored a goal. The following match against Washington Spirit, Nagasato scored and assisted another goal. In the match against Utah Royals FC, she scored the game-winner.
F: Sam Kerr (Chicago Red Stars): The Australian was named Player of the Week once in September and ultimately Player of the Month. She started by scoring two goals against the Houston Dash. She then assisted in the match against Orlando Pride. Kerr continued her assisting in the match against Sky Blue FC, where she also scored a goal. The match against the Washing Spirit is where Kerr scored two goals and assisted another. She also broke hers and the league's single-season scoring record with her 18th tally of the season.
F: Lynn Williams (North Carolina Courage): The attacker had a hat trick in the match against Portland Thorns FC. She scored again in the following game against the Orlando Pride and finished off the month with one more goal against the Washington Spirit. Williams has a total of 12 goals this season.
