De León Strong in Triple-A Debut

NORFOLK, Va - The Norfolk Tides (9-21 | 37-68) fell to the Worcester Red Sox (19-12 | 55-47), 4-3, in 10 innings at Harbor Park. It's the second consecutive night Norfolk fell to Worcester in extras.

Luis De León made his Triple-A debut for the Tides as the starting pitcher. He would last 5.1 innings, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and two walks while striking out four. De León threw 87 pitches, 55 for strikes.

He exited the game with the Tides trailing 2-1. Enrique Bradfield Jr. saved him from a loss when he hit the game-tying RBI double in the seventh. He finished 2-for-5 on the night

Neither team scored for the remainder of regulation, but Worcester scored two runs in the 10th on a two-run homer. Norfolk took one run back in the bottom-half on an RBI double by José Barrero, but they could not complete the comeback. Barrero also hit his 19th home run of the season in the loss.
