Dazzle single game tickets now on sale

Roanoke, Va., November 9 - A limited number of single game tickets for the Roanoke Dazzle's 2005-06 NBA Development League season are now on sale.

Dazzle tickets for all 23 thrilling home games at the Roanoke Civic Center can be purchased by going to the Roanoke Civic Center Box Office, by calling the Dazzle at (540) 266-1000 or on the web at www.tickets.com. Discounted Group Rate tickets for groups of 15 or more people are also available for purchase by calling the Dazzle Office at (540) 266-1000.

The Roanoke Civic Center Box Office hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Tickets are just $16.50 and $10 for adults and $7.50 for kids (12 and younger).

The Dazzle will also play a home game this season at the Salem Civic Center on Friday, February 10 at 7:00 p.m. Event and ticket details for this game will be announced at a future date.

This year's edition of the Roanoke Dazzle features returning stars Isiah Victor and Sung-Yoon Bang, along with an exciting collection of newcomers headlined by former ACC stars Will Bynum from Georgia Tech, Anthony Grundy from N.C. State and Jason Clark from Virginia.

The Dazzle with the support of Nextel, will host a preseason game benefiting the American Red Cross and their hurricane relief efforts on Wednesday, November 16 with game time at 7:00 p.m. The Roanoke Dazzle will then tip-off the regular season Friday, November 18 against the Ft. Worth Flyers at 7:00 p.m.

The Dazzle have a great promotional schedule this season with a different event or giveaway at all 24 home dates. Don't miss out on fan favorites such as Spongebob Squarepants Night on February 17 when the Dazzle hosts the Florida Flame or Dora the Explorer Night on March 17, when the Dazzle take on the Austin Toros. The NBA Development League includes the Albuquerque Thunderbirds (N.M.), Arkansas RimRockers (Little Rock), Austin Toros (Texas), Fayetteville Patriots (N.C.), Florida Flame (Ft. Myers), Fort Worth Flyers (Texas), Roanoke Dazzle (Va.) and Tulsa 66ers (Okla.).

The D-League offers players the opportunity to develop their talent in a highly competitive atmosphere under the NBA's umbrella. Thirty-four (34) players have been called up to the NBA on 50 separate occasions. Eleven (11) former D-League coaches, six athletic trainers, 14 referees and 30 front office executives have also been called up since the start of the league's inaugural season in November 2001.

Designed to help grow the sport of basketball both domestically and internationally, the league also offers fun, family entertainment at affordable prices. The D-League is a source of on-court talent for the NBA's 30 teams and is a diverse human resources pool for the NBA and its teams by training employees in management, operations, public relations, sales and marketing positions.
