Roanoke Dazzle News Release

ROANOKE , Va , December 6, 2003 – Mikki Moore scored a season high 30 points and grabbed nine rebounds, but Dazzle couldn't over come the Asheville Altitude in an 106-101 loss Saturday.

The Dazzle lead 78-76 going into the third quarter, but then with 9:02 left in the game the Altitude went on a 6-0 run and the Dazzle would not lead again.

"This is a big win for us," said Altitude Head Coach Joey Meyer. "We got down early and a lot of teams would have laid down and played dead. He kept fighting and finished strong."

Lavor Postell paced the team with 23 points and 5 assists. The other Altitude players in double figures were: Desmond Penigar 22, Brandon Kurtz 17, and Kris Lang 10.

"I thought Lavor Postell really helped us defend Moore tonight," Meyer said. "We really can't handle him, but Lavor did the best job of anyone so far."

George Willams scored 26 points and Marque Perry added 20 for the Dazzle.

The Dazzle falls to 3-2 record after losing two straight home games. They travel to Charleston on December 11.
