Dayton Gems Toppled By The Muskegon Lumberjacks 4-5

With less than 1 minute on the clock Muskegon had a holding call and Dayton capitalized when A.J. MacLean scored on the 1st power play of the evening with the help of Tim Hartung and Cory Courturier. The Lumberjacks tied the period to end the 1st.

In the 2nd Courturier pulled the Gems in front with assists from John Snowden and Bryan Nathe. Only to have the 'Jack even it up again during a Muskegon powerplay. Before the end of the period Courturier found the net again, this time with Hartung and Snowden's aid. But Muskegon would tie the game again to end the period and score the only goal of the 3rd to end the evening with a 5:4 Lumberjacks win bringing Dayton's record to 11/11/3/0.

The Gems invite all active duty and retired military to attend Military Night with a buy 1 ticket get 1 ticket free discount on Friday when the Gems play the Muskegon Lumberjacks at 730pm. All branches will be honored. It is also Toys for Tots night - Marines will be on duty to accept your donations. Saturday, December 19th the Flint Generals head to Hara for Christmas in the Rink. Santa will be our guest - for both games. Bring your camera and take your turn telling the jolly old elf your wish for his holiday.
