
Dayton Gems Announce Signing Of Corey Couturier And Kevin Flather

The Dayton Gems, proud members of the International Hockey League, announced the signing ofKevin Flather and Corey Couturierto contracts.
Flather spent last year with the Condordia University of Alberta Canada - Condordia Thunder. Flather, a native of Surrey.The 6'2, 205 pound forward captained the Liege Bulldogs in the Belguim Elite League, where he put up 76 points (31-4576) in just 40 games, to go along with 112 PIM's.
Couturier is from Traverse City Michigan and spent last season with the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL. The 6' 180 pounder shoots left and played 5 years with the Ferris State Bulldogs of Big Rapids Michigan.
Gems have waived Edgars Brancis and Mark Versteeg Lytwyn.
