Dayton Dutch Lions FC Looking for First Home Win against Sacramento

DAYTON, Ohio - The Dayton Dutch Lions FC (2-4-2, 8 points) will host the Sacramento Republic (4-3-1, 13 points) on Sunday night at 7.00pm EST at DOC Stadium. The game will be the first time ever between the two clubs. The Dayton Dutch Lions FC is looking for it's first home win after two ties and two losses in the first four home games. The game will be live streamed on the club's YouTube channel.

The Dayton Dutch Lions FC is coming off a 5-3 loss on the road against the Harrisburg City Islanders and will be looking to end a four game winless streak this upcoming Sunday. Forward Aaron Schoenfeld has tallied three goals and one assist in the last two games for the Lions and will be looking for more goals this upcoming weekend.

"We have showed moments of good play and I am hoping to see more of that this Sunday", said Dayton's Head Coach Sid van Druenen. "Sacramento is a good team and they will not make it easy on us but we will be ready to put down a solid performance and keep the three points in Dayton. We owe that to our fans".

Sacramento is coming off a home win against a strong LA Galaxy II and will be on the road for two away games, facing the Rochester Rhinos on Friday May 23 before they travel to Dayton for Sunday's game. The game will also be a double header with the Women's team, who kick off at 4.30pm. The Men's game kicks off right after that game at 7.00pm.

On Wednesday May 28 the Dayton Dutch Lions FC will travel to Indianapolis to face NASL team Indy Eleven for the 3rd round of the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. The game has been announced as being the "Game of the round". U.S. Soccer is broadcasting one match during each round of this year's Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, the 101st edition of the tournament, which features a record of 80 teams. It also means that the game will be streamed live on www.ussoccer.com. The Lions will then return home to face the Rochester Rhinos at DOC Stadium on Sunday June 1st at 7.00pm.
