Dayton Dutch Lions News Release
DAYTON, Ohio - After a disappointing performance ending in a 3-1 loss at home against the Harrisburg City Islanders, the Lions (5-12-2, 17 points) are playing the Charlotte Eagles (5-10-3, 18 points) this Saturday July 19 at 7.00pm at DOC Stadium. The teams played each other twice already this season in Charlotte, resulting in two wins for the Lions (1-0 and 3-1).
The Lions are tied for most wins in away games this season but have struggled to win at home with 7 losses and 2 wins. With Charlotte coming to West Carrollton Head Coach Sid van Druenen thinks this will change this weekend: "unfortunately we are still looking for our first win in front of our home fans, but this Saturday we have a good opportunity to change that. Our games against Charlotte are always good games and we have had success against them this year with two away wins so I expect us to get the win so we can keep hopes for playoffs alive and also entertain our fans."
After the game the Lions play OKC Energy FC at home at DOC Stadium on Saturday July 26 at 7.00pm. Tickets for the game can be purchased at www.ddlfc.com.
