LA Galaxy II Face Oklahoma City Energy FC at Pribil Stadium on Saturday

CARSON, Calif. (Friday, July 18 2014) - LA Galaxy II (9-5-4, 31 points) will travel to face OKC Energy FC (6-7-3, 21 points) on Saturday, July 19 in USL PRO Week 18 action at Pribil Stadium at 5:00 p.m. PT in the first match of a four-game road stretch for Los Dos.

The match is the third time that Los Dos will go up against OKC Energy FC in USL PRO play this year as Curt Onalfo's squad will look to build on a 4-2 victory over Arizona United SC at the StubHub Center on Friday, July 4.

Led by head coach and former Sporting KC goalkeeper Jimmy Nielsen, OKC Energy FC, currently in eighth place in the USL PRO standings, enter the match following a 2-0 home victory against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at Pribil Stadium. Energy FC took the decisive 2-0 lead in the first half behind goals from Michael Thomas and Dan Delgado, both assisted by Adda Djeziri.

In the most recent meeting between LA Galaxy II and OKC Energy FC, Los Dos recorded a dominating 5-0 victory at the StubHub Center on May 25 as Chandler Hoffman and Bradford Jamieson IV each recorded a brace and Jack McBean notched his first goal of the year. Hoffman scored the opening two goals in the first half and the Galaxy finished the game off in the second period as Jamieson IV added two more and McBean capped it off with the fifth of the evening.

In their first encounter earlier this year, LA Galaxy II came from behind to record a 4-2 win over Energy FC on April 7 at the StubHub Center Track and Field Stadium. After a goal from Peabo Doue put Energy FC ahead in the 8th minute, Los Dos responded with four goals as Daniel Steres, Laurent Courtois, Chandler Hoffman and Aleksandar Dovoic all tallied for LA.

After the match against Oklahoma City, Los Dos travel to Anteater Stadium at UC Irvine to face Orange County Blues FC Saturday, July 26 at 7:00 p.m. PT.
