Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) host the Peoria Chiefs (affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals) at Day Air Ballpark in the heart of the Water Street District. This is the second game of a six-game series. Season Series: Peoria 1, Dayton 0.

Welcome Aboard: The Dragons have received blue-chip prospect Noelvi Marte, who was acquired from the Seattle Mariners in the trade involving MLB all-star Luis Castillo. MLB.com has slotted Marte as the Reds #1 prospect, while Baseball America has him ranked #2, behind Elly De La Cruz. Marte had been with High-A Everett, batting .275 with 15 home runs and 55 RBI. He is a 20-year-old native of the Dominican Republic
