Today's Game: The Dayton Dragons (affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds) host the Lansing Lugnuts (affiliate of the Oakland Athletics) at Day Air Ballpark in the heart of the Water Street District. This is the fifth game of a six-game series. Season Series: Lansing 6, Dayton 4.

Last Game: Friday: Lansing 3, Dayton 2. The Lugnuts collected just three hits and did not have a team RBI but scored two runs on wild pitches and another on an error. The Dragons had eight hits and were led by Jose Torres (3 for 4). Tyler Callihan had a triple and Steven Leyton and Ashton Creal both had doubles. Starting pitcher Steve Hajjar allowed one run in four innings and struck out seven.

Dayton has hit 123 home runs, second highest total in franchise history. The club record is 144 in 2001 in a 139-game season. The Dragons are on a pace to hit 153 on the year (130-game season).

Starting pitcher Javi Rivera makes his High-A debut tonight. At Daytona this season, he posted an ERA of 2.81 and struck out 88 in 73.2 IP.

Jose Torres over his last nine games is batting .333 (12-36) with two home runs and a double.

Myles Gayman over his 14 appearances since May 26 has posted a 2.15 ERA (29.1 IP, 21 H, 7 R, 6 BB, 31 SO).

Jake Gilbert over his last seven appearances has allowed just one earned run in 15.1 innings.

Jayvien Sandridge since joining the Dragons from Daytona has made four relief appearances and thrown seven scoreless innings.
