Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers News Release
(Wilkes-Barre, PA) The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are very proud and excited to announce that Pioneers' kicker David Davis has been named the arenafootball2's Havoc Kicker of the Year! Davis was selected by a vote of members of the media and arenafootball2 head coaches. He is the third recipient of the af2 Kicker of the Year Award.
During the 2007 season Davis led all kickers in PAT kicking percentage at 92.7% converting 115 of his 124 attempts. In addition, he has made all of his 17 PATs in the Pioneers' two post-season victories. Among all af2 kickers Davis finished fourth in points scored during the regular season with 136 points and he completed 7-of-12 field goal attempts.
"I couldn't be happier for David. We have been very fortunate to have had him here in Wilkes-Barre these last four seasons. He has every quality you're looking for in a player," stated head coach Rich Ingold when asked about Davis' achievement.
During Davis' four seasons as a Pioneer he has contributed both on and off the field. He has been a fan favorite not only because of his success kicking the ball through the uprights, but due to his generosity and volunteering at local schools and community events as well.
