
Dash Return to NWSL Play at Seattle's Memorial Stadium

SEATTLE - The Houston Dash (2-3-1, 7 points) are in the Pacific Northwest to play Seattle Reign FC (2-3-2, 8 points) in the first NWSL match for Randy Waldrum's squad since May 20. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CDT at Memorial Stadium.

Eight Houston Dash players saw action for their respective national teams during the recent FIFA window are eligible to play against Seattle. Canadian FW Janine Beckie scored the game-winning goal in the 94th minute to split a two-game series with Brazil on June 7. Both Beckie and Dash D Allysha Chapman came on as second half substitutes. Both players started the first match on June 4 where Brazil came out on top 2-0.
MF Morgan Brian started both of the U.S. Women's National Team's matches against Japan. The USWNT defeated Japan 2-0 on June 5 and drew 3-3 on June 2.
MF Andressa and D Poliana started the match for Brazil against Canada on June 7, falling to the home team 1-0. The Brazilian duo came off the bench in the second half on June 4 and walked away with a 2-0 victory over Canada.
FW Rachel Daly earned her first cap for England and scored her first goal for the senior squad on June 4. England traveled to Serbia three days later for the second leg and walked away with a second 7-0 victory. Daly did not take part in the second game.
GK Lydia Williams did not participate in Australia's 2-0 victory over New Zealand on June 4. The goalkeeper started the second match on June 7 that finished in a 1-1 draw.
MF Denise O'Sullivan played 90 minutes in Ireland's 4-1 loss to Finland on June 3. The midfielder was a second half substitute in Ireland's 9-0 victory over Montenegro on June 7.
After having the best record in the NWSL in each of the last two seasons, Reign FC is off to a slower start in 2016, in a tie for sixth place with eight points from seven games. Their last match prior to the international break finished as a scoreless draw with Portland Thorns FC. MF Jessica Fishlock returned to action against the Thorns after fracturing her left tibia on April 24. Seattle also features the 2016 BBC Women's Footballer of the Year, Kim Little. The Scottish midfielder-also the 2014 NWSL MVP and two-time NWSL Best XI member-has scored three goals and notched two assists this season after finishing last season with 10 goals and seven assists.
Seattle defeated Houston 3-0 in their last meeting on Aug. 21 at BBVA Compass Stadium as Little recorded a hat trick. The Scotland international has tormented the Dash over the last two years, with eight goals in five games. FW Kealia Ohai has scored two goals against the Reign, which is the most of any Dash player in the series.
The Dash return to BBVA Compass on Sunday, June 19 to the reigning two-time NWSL Champion, FC Kansas City at 7:30 p.m. CDT.
