Darrell Wonge Named Player of the Week

(MONCTON, NB) Darrell Wonge of the Moncton Miracles has been named NBL Canada Player of the Week for the week ending December 18t,h 2011. Wonge becomes the first player from Moncton to earn this honour.

Wonge, a 6'6 forward from Winston-Salem State, was Moncton's first-round draft pick in the 2011 NBL Canada Entry Draft. He averaged 20 points in three games last week for Moncton, but it was his 30-point game against the Summerside Storm that earned Moncton their first win of the season.

The Miracles play their next game at home against the Oshawa Power on Monday, December 19th, 2011. Game time is 7pm at the Moncton Coliseum.
