Danville Wings News
An unprecedented four of the League's top five scorers are members of the first-place Danville Wings.
Danville's Alex Foster has a six-game goal-scoring streak. He has scored eight goals over that span and currently is the USHL's leading goal scorer.
Wings Split Weekend
The Wings came into the weekend looking to sweep thru Sioux Falls and Sioux City but had to settle for a split. On Friday night the Wings kept their unbeaten streak in regulation with a convincing 6-2 at Sioux Falls. Danville scored the first 4 goals of the game and never looked back. Derek Patrasso, who had a big night with a goal and 3 assists, got the Wings started with his third goal of the season. Bryan Marshall, Travis Winter and Nino Musitelli scored the next three to put the Wings up 4-0 early in the second period. Justin Tobe was in net and notched his 5th win of the season. Tomas Klempa and red hot Alex Foster put the finishing touches on the win.
On Saturday the Wings traveled to Sioux City and came up short 3-2. Alex Foster scored a goal in his sixth straight game to get the Wings on the board early with helpers from Bryan Marshall and Nino Musitelli, but Sioux City came back with 3 unanswered goals and held on for the win. The Wings ended the weekend 6-1-1 for a league high 13 points.
The Wings next game is at home on Wednesday October 22nd as they host St. Louis. Game time is 7:05pm.
