November 6, 2015 - Indoor Football League (IFL)
Nebraska Danger News Release

GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA - The Nebraska Danger Indoor Professional Football Team is pleased to announce the return of the reigning IFL Most Valuable Player, Jameel Sewell. Head Coach Mike Davis also has re-signed Johnny King, Lawrence Martin IV, O.J. Simpson, and Marquel Wade to the team in addition to a group of new additions.

"Having these guys come back for another season is great for us," Davis said. "Veteran players are the ones that set the tone in practice and help get the rookies up to speed on how playing indoors is different than playing outside."

Sewell picked up his second IFL-MVP award in 2015 after only playing in 11 regular season games. In those 11 games, he threw for 1,739 yards and 38 touchdowns with only 3 interceptions. He also was second on the team in rushing with 525 yards and 20 touchdowns.

"I'm really liking our team this year," Davis said, "There are going to be a lot of new faces for fans to meet. Now that we have established a name for ourselves, we are able to really bring in the top talent available and it should really show this season."

A pre-season game has also been added to the 2016 Danger schedule. The Danger will take on the Omaha Beef of the Champions Indoor Football league (CIF) on Friday, February 19th at 7:05pm at the Ralston Arena, the home of the Omaha Beef.

The Danger, three time Intense Conference Champions, will begin the 2016 season on February 27th at home against the Wichita Falls Nighthawks. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m.
