Danger Finalize 2015 Coaching Staff

GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA - The Nebraska Danger Indoor Professional Football Team is pleased to announce the 2015 coaching staff.

Head Coach / Defensive Coordinator: Mike Davis Davis enters his fifth season at the helm of the Nebraska Danger. Born and raised on the east coast, Davis played collegiately at Virginia Tech before spending six seasons playing indoor football. Davis has been with the Danger since the start compiling an 30- 30 overall record. In 2013 and 2014, the Danger had back-to-back best seasons in franchise history, finishing 11-5 and winning the Intense Conference championship before falling both years to Sioux Falls in the United Bowl championship game.

Davis had previous IFL head coaching stops with the River City Rage and the Omaha Beef. He led the Rage to the 2008 UIF divisional championship game and the Beef to the 2010 IFL playoffs after they started 2-4.

"I am excited to continue to build the Danger Football organization both on and off the field," Davis said. "The community of Grand Island has the best fans in the league and they deserve one of the best teams in the league to go along with that. I am happy that the Bosselman family continues to see me as the leader of the team for the 2015 season."

Assistant Head Coach: Hurtis Chinn

Chinn enters his fourth season on the Danger staff, and first season as assistant head coach. Chinn coached for three years as the receivers coach after playing for Nebraska in their inaugural season in 2011. During his season with the Danger, Chinn recorded 37 receptions for 316 yards and two touchdowns.

The Miami, FL native was a standout receiver for the River City Rage in 2009 where he finished fourth in the IFL with 77 receptions and scored 11 touchdowns. Chinn played collegiately at Western New Mexico.

Offensive Coordinator: Dave Kimura

Entering his fourth season with the Danger, Kimura serves as the offensive coordinator for the high-flying Danger offense that led the league in 2013. The offense produced three all-IFL selections in 2013: Jameel Sewell, Kayne Farquharson and Darius Savage and two in 2014: Farquharson and Savage.

A native of Mariposa, CA, Kimura was an All-America selection for Dakota Wesleyan in 2001 and graduating in 2002. He played indoor football professionally for the Sioux Falls Storm and Yakima (WA) Shockwave. He also serves as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for Hastings College in the fall.

O-Line Coach: James Poynter

Poynter enters his third season on the Danger staff. He spent his first season coaching the offensive line and spent last season working with the defensive line after spending six seasons playing indoor football, including two with the Danger as their starting center. Poynter was named as a finalist of the inaugural IFL Hall of Fame class.

A Plainview, NE native, Poynter was a lineman at Nebraska-Kearney where he graduated in 2005. Poynter, who also serves as the Treasury Manager for Bosselman Companies, and his wife, Ashley, have two daughters.

D-Line Coach: Mark Page

A new addition to the Danger coaching staff this season, Page brings valuable indoor experience to the coaching staff. He coached the offensive and defensive lines for the Green Bay Blizzard in 2011. He helped the Blizzard to an 11-3 record and a United Division runner-up finish. Page was also with the Manchester Wolves from 2003-2008 with an overall career record of 56-38 including a 4-4 record in the playoffs.

Page was previously a K-9 Officer and SWAT member for the city of Londonderry, NH for 21 years. He was also a detective with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's department for four years.

Assistant Coach / Special Teams: Bob Levy

Levy has spent 25 years coaching football, including 13 years at the collegiate level. He has coached almost every position on the field, including coordinating both sides of the ball. Levy is the former state director of the National Strength and Conditioning Association for Exercise Technique in Missouri.

Levy spent 18 years as a high school principal. Under his leadership, Chillicothe High School was awarded a gold star and blue ribbon for academic achievement, the highest award given to public schools. He is also a motivational speaker, having presented across the United State as well as the Mayan Peninsula of Mexico.

The 2015 season will begin for the Danger on Sunday, March 1st in Wisconsin versus the Green Bay Blizzard. The Danger return to the Bone Yard on March 7 to take on the expansion Wichita Falls Nighthawks with kickoff set for 7pm.
