Last night's thrilling opening period was just a distant memory as neither team capitalized on their combined ten power play opportunities in the opening frame and the contest was scoreless after the first 20 minutes of play.

The two teams remained scoreless until Danbury's Alec Kirschner opened up the scoring on a power play goal with 11:14 remaining in the 2nd period. Less than a minute later, fellow Whaler Sean O'Malley took advantage of another power play chance and lit the lamp again to give visiting Danbury a 2-0 lead. Things only got worse for the Aviators in the 3rd period as Kirschner would add his second goal of the night, shortly followed by another insurance goal from to bring the score to 5-1. By the time Nick Vandenbeld scored late in the 3rd, the game was already well in hand and Danbury had tied up the postseason series.

Druce took his lumps this evening, being replaced by John Dorman late in the 3rd period. He takes the loss and goes to 1-1-0. Vetri rebounded with an impressive performance and is nabbed with the win, also taking his record to 1-1-0.
