
Dallas Mavericks Re-Assign Sean Williams to NBA D-League Affiliate Texas

NEW YORK, March 13, 2012 - The Dallas Mavericks today re-assigned fourth-year forward Sean Williams to the Texas Legends, the Mavericks' NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment marks the 50th time an NBA player has been assigned to his NBA D-League affiliate during the 2011-12 season and is the third assignment for Williams this season.
Williams (6-10, 235, Boston College) has appeared in 22 games for the Legends this season, averaging 15.0 points, 8.7 rebounds and 28.5 minutes. Shooting 51 percent from the floor, he has recorded six double-doubles with the Legends. He scored a season-high 29 points on Jan. 13 in a 98-95 win over the Erie BayHawks.
Williams has appeared in seven games for the Mavericks this season, averaging 4.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 9.0 minutes. In 133 career NBA games, he has averaged 4.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 14.5 minutes.
