
Dallas' Dolezel, Tampa Bay's Rachal And Georgia's Huebner Earn Week 11 Honors

NEW YORK - Dallas Desperados QB CLINT DOLEZEL, Tampa Bay Storm DB TRACO RACHAL and Georgia Force FB/LB MATT HUEBNER have been named Offensive Player, ADT Defensive Player, and Ironman of the Week, respectively, for Week 11 of the 2008 season.
OFFENSIVE: Dolezel (6-5, 205, East Texas St.) completed 25-of-35 passes for 320 yards and tied a Week 11-high eight touchdowns as the Dallas Desperados (9-1) defeated the Grand Rapids Rampage (3-7), 65-54, on Saturday. Dolezel led Dallas on scoring drives during nine of the teams 11 total possessions, while his passer rating of 139.2 ranked third among all quarterbacks in Week 11. Dolezel became the first quarterback in professional football history to throw for 900 career touchdowns on his seventh of the game, a six-yard pass to WR MARCUS NASH with 11:00 minutes remaining. The Desperados host the Arizona Rattlers (4-6) at American Airlines Center on Saturday, May 17 at 8 p.m. ET (ESPN360.com, Metro Sports Local - Live).
ADT DEFENSIVE: Rachal (6-2, 200, Texas A&M-Commerce) registered a Week 11-high 12.5 tackles, one pass defensed and one interception as the Tampa Bay Storm (4-6) defeated the New Orleans VooDoo (7-4), 41-37, on Friday. On fourth-and-goal from Tampa Bay's nine-yard line, with eight seconds remaining and the Storm leading by four, Rachal intercepted VooDoo QB DANNY WIMPRINE to seal the victory and end the game. Tampa Bay's defense held New Orleans to season-lows in scoring with 16 first-half points and 37 for the game. The Storm travels to Van Andel Arena to face the Grand Rapids Rampage (3-7) on Friday, May 16 at 7 p.m. ET.
IRONMAN: Huebner (6-4, 280, St. Cloud St.) recorded three touchdowns on offense and two-and-a-half tackles with one sack on defense as the Georgia Force (5-5) defeated the Philadelphia Soul (9-2), 63-62, on Monday. Huebner recorded the game's first touchdown, a one-yard run that gave Georgia a 7-0 lead. His six-yard receiving touchdown during the second quarter would allow the Force to regain its lead, 34-28, with 1:14 remaining in the half. Georgia's defense held Philadelphia to six points in the fourth quarter, the Soul's second-lowest single-quarter scoring output of the season. The Force overcame a 22-point fourth quarter deficit to win the game. Georgia travels to Nassau Coliseum to face the New York Dragons (6-4) on Sunday, May 18 at 3 p.m. ET.
Offensive Player of the Week candidates included: Cleveland QB Raymond Philyaw and WR/DB Robert Redd, Dallas WR Marcus Nash, Georgia QB Chris Greisen and WR Troy Bergeron, Kansas City QB D. Bryant, San Jose QB Mark Grieb, WR/DB Rodney Wright and WR/DB James Roe, Tampa Bay QB Brett Dietz and Utah QB Joe Germaine and WR J.J. McKelvey.
ADT Defensive Player of the Week candidates included: Georgia DB Chris Royal, Kansas City DB Jerald Brown and DB Travis Coleman, New York DB Billy Parker and DB Monty Montgomery, San Jose DB Marquis Floyd and Utah DB Eddie Canonico.
Ironman of the Week candidates included: Dallas WR/DB Bobby Perry and FB/LB David Dixon, New York WR/DB Jason Willis, Philadelphia FB/LB Clifton Smith, Tampa Bay WR/LB Lawrence Samuels and FB/LB Torrance Marshall.
