AFLWA Player of Week (Week Eleven)

May 13, 2008 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I) News Release

Clint Dolezel has made history.

In Dallas' 65-54 win over Grand Rapids on Saturday, Dolezel became the first player in Arena Football League -- or any other professional football league -- history to pass for 900 touchdowns in his career with his seventh scoring toss of the night.

Dolezel threw eight touchdown passes all together to lift the Desperados, and he was named the AFL Writers Association's Player of the Week. He was 25-of-35 for 321 yards.

His most popular target was Marcus Nash, who caught nine passes for 145 yards and six touchdowns. Nash was a runner-up for the award this week.
