Erie, Pennsylvania, Thursday, December 29 - The Los Angeles D-Fenders overcame a 12-point fourth quarter deficit to down the Erie BayHawks 117-112 on Thursday night at Tullio Arena.

Los Angeles center Brandon Costner led the way for the visitors with 35 points including 6 three-pointers.

After a back-and-forth start to the game, Erie took the lead at 16-15 and L.A. would not lead again until the 1:36 mark of the fourth quarter. Erie center Chris Daniels led all scorers in the first half with 14 points and the host team held a six-point edge at the half, 60-54.

The battle of the big men between Costner and Daniels heated up in the third quarter as Costner connected for 14 points and Daniels had 12 as Erie stretched its lead to 10 at the end of the frame, 91-81.

The BayHawks looked as if they would cruise down the stretch as they held a 12-point margin with seven minutes to play, but it was then that L.A. went on a 28-11 run to finish the game, including Costner scoring his final ten points in the game's last two minutes to help seal the win.

Zach Andrews notched a double-double for L.A. with 16 points and 11 rebounds, Elijah Millsap scored 27 points and Malcolm Thomas added 19 off the bench. Daniels was Erie's leading scorer with 32 points, and Kyle Spain notched 18 points off the bench.

The BayHawks begin a five-game road trip on Saturday when they travel to play the Canton Charge, while the D-Fenders head to Fort Wayne for a Friday night contest against the Mad Ants.
