Washington, D.C. (April 8, 2010) - D.C. United announced today the club will host FC Dallas in a U.S. Open Cup play-in game on April 28 at RFK Stadium. The game will kickoff at 7:30 p.m. ET and serve as Special Game A for full season ticket holders and half plan A. Tickets for the general public will go on sale tomorrow, Friday, April 9 at 10:00 a.m.

"This match is the first of five additional matches to be a part of our 2010 ticket packages," said United Executive Vice President Stephen Zack. "Additionally, the club is in the final stages of negotiating three major international friendlies against major European club teams that will also be included in full and half season ticket plans as we continue to provide our plan holders more value than ever before."

Should United claim victory, the club will play the winner of the Real Salt Lake vs. San Jose Earthquakes match to reach a second play-in game. Single-game tickets begin at $23 for seating in the Spectator section, are $32 at the Premium level, $42 at the VIP level, and are available at the Mezzanine level for $52.

The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is an annual national competition that is open to all amateur and professional soccer teams that are affiliated with U.S. Soccer. It is the oldest tournament in the U.S., beginning in 1914 when Brooklyn Field Club took home the very first title. MLS teams were first included in the tournament in the inaugural 1996 season, with D.C. taking home the title that season. In 2008, United won a second Open Cup championship, defeating the Charleston Battery 2-1 in the final.
