Owen Sound Attack News Release
For the second straight year, Attack defenseman Milan Doczy will look to compete for the Czech Republic at the World Junior Hockey Championships. Doczy, a native of Zlin, Czech Republic will be leaving tomorrow, Thursday, December 17th for the Czech Junior camp in Regina, Saskatchewan where he looks to make his second straight World Junior appearance after cracking the Czech team as an 18 year old last year.
"I am very excited for the opportunity to compete for my country once again." Stated the 6'5 defenseman. "I learned a lot last year in Ottawa and I think that will help me very much." Doczy has registered 2 goals and 16 assists in 33 games so far this season, one point higher than his previous career high in 2007/2008.
Should the Czech defender crack the team again, he and teammates will open up the round robin play against last year's silver medalists, Sweden in Regina.
The Attack would like to wish Milan the best of luck.
