Brooklyn, NY, January 28, 2004 -As February approaches, Spring Training is right around the corner and so is that special day when baseball fans can send a message to the one their heart beats for. The Brooklyn Cyclones are holding their second annual "Cyclones Sweetheart" contest.

If you would like to surprise your beloved with a special delivery courtesy of the Cyclones, visit the team's website, www.brooklyncyclones.com, and tell us about the one you love and what makes them so special. Submissions should be 100 words or less and must be received by 5:00PM on Monday, February 9th. Cupid will judge the most romantic Valentine message and arrange for Sandy the Seagull to deliver a dozen roses, provided by Robert Joseph Florist, to the winner's sweetheart on Valentines Day.

The Brooklyn Cyclones are the Class-A affiliate of the New York Mets. The Cyclones play at KeySpan Park, the 7,500-seat stadium in Coney Island. In 2003, the Brooklyn Cyclones completed an exciting season by playing in the league championship series.
