Brooklyn Cyclones News Release

The Cyclones beat the Crosscutters Wednesday night by the score of 3-0, behind another outstanding performance by the Cyclones pitching staff. Starter Dylan Owen was dominant, not allowing any runs over 5.2 innings. The Cyclones were able to put up runs thanks to first baseman Jason Jacobs for the second consecutive night.

In the bottom of the 4th inning, Jacobs got things going with an RBI double to left field which allowed Raul Reyes to score from second. Two batters later leftfielder Lucas Duda hit a single up the middle which brought Jacobs around to score and give the Cyclones a two run lead.

The Cyclones tacked on another run when catcher Jefferies Tatford smacked a double into the left centerfield gap which allowed designated hitter Chris Fournier to score from first base.

Once again Brooklyn's bullpen held the lead as Dan McDonald and Stephen Clyne combined for 3.1 no-hit innings to end the game.

The Cyclones will host the Crosscutters again on Thursday night at 7pm for the series finale. The first 2,500 fans will receive Thunderstix courtesy of Nutrament. Great seats are still available!
