Twin City Cyclones News Release

Local ownership will be the name of the game as the Pee Dee Cyclones hockey team heads into the second half of the 2005-06 Southern Professional Hockey League season. Hartsville resident Bob Kerzner and Florence native Tommy Jones purchased the hockey team last week from Dr. Richard Hoodenpyle who resides in Asheville, North Carolina.

Mr. Kerzner, who owns six McDonald's restaurants in the Pee Dee, and Mr. Jones, who owns Florence's Medstar Ambulance Service, plan an aggressive marketing plan and want to make the Cyclones experience at the Florence Civic Center more "fan friendly."

Beginning with the Cyclones next home games at the Florence Civic Center on Friday, February 10th and Saturday, February 11th, the team will introduce some new, lower, ticket prices which will be in affect for the remainder of the 2005-06 hockey season:

- A new $7.00 General Admission ticket will be available for all Friday & Saturday home games.

- A new $5.00 General Admission ticket will be available for Tuesday & Thursday home games.

- A $5.00 Student or Military ticket for all home games by showing the appropriate ID.

- Children 3 & under will be admitted FREE (as long as they are sitting on their parent's lap).

Cyclones Tickets Notes:

* Cyclones season tickets are still on sale at the Pee Dee Cyclones office located inside the Florence Civic Center on the lower level of the building. Office hours are Monday through Friday from 8AM to 5PM and the Cyclones phone number is 432-1234.
