Cutthroats Lose Rubber Match against Chill

Denver - The Denver Cutthroats hosted the St. Charles Chill for the first time in franchise history at the Denver Coliseum on Wednesday, December 11. The Chill defeated the Cutthroats 3-1 behind 42 saves from goaltender Robert Moss. The Cutthroats fall to 11-7-4 for the season while the Chill are now 5-12-4.

St. Charles Chill's Steve Makway (Nicklas Lindberg) scored the first goal of the night. On the power play, Denver Cutthroats J.P. Chabot (Garett Bembridge, Troy Schwab) matched the Chill's goal to tie the score 1-1 less than a minute later.

After a scoreless second period, the Chill took the lead for the second time as Dan Weiss (Justin Levac, Ryan Berard) found the back of the Cutthroats net. Berard (Martin Hlinka) scored on a breakaway only a few minutes later to give St. Charles a 3-1 lead and close the night with a two-point victory.

The Denver Cutthroats will face the Arizona Sundogs for a two-game series on Friday, December 13 and Saturday, December 14 at the Denver Coliseum.
