April 17, 2006 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
New Haven County Cutters News Release

With spring in the air and baseball on the mind, now is the time to find what you're looking for at the ballpark. This season the New Haven County Cutters have put together a promotional schedule that will appeal to fans of all ages.

"This year we focused on variety by having something for everybody," said Director of Promotions Stephen Colvin. "On any night this summer, Yale Field offers the most fun at affordable prices."

The popular promotions are back this summer with $1 draft beers on 6 Thirsty Thursdays. Each Thursday has a theme and we look for the fans to dress up and enjoy the festivities. Sundays continue to be Family Fun Days with kids taking over the ballpark. All kids 14 & under will Eat Free with a free hot dog and soda on 8 Sundays this season, courtesy of Hummel Bros. After the game is over, all kids are invited to run the bases.

Our opening homestand begins with our 1st game on Memorial Day, Monday May 29th at 6:05pm. The band, Driving East, will be performing before and after the game. Get there early for player introductions and opening ceremonies. Everyone in attendance will receive a 2006 Schedule Magnet from NewAlliance Bank as the Cutters take on the Worcester Tornadoes.

The season is highlighted by great promotions all summer long including Midget Wrestling on Thirsty Thursday June 15th, Smoky Joe Wood Night presented by SABR on Saturday June 17th, NASCAR Night on Friday July 7th, Tribute to the '86 Mets on Saturday July 8th, Stadium Beach Party with local band favorite Key West Trio, and the second annual Red-Sox-Yankees Rivalry Night on Thirsty Thursday, August 17th.

"This area loves their baseball and after the success of Red Sox-Yankees rivalry night last year, we had to bring it back" said Director of Promotions & Special Events Stephen Colvin. "This season we also pay tribute to one of the best teams in baseball history, the 1986 New York Mets."

Full season tickets, mini plans and group tickets are available at Yale Field or by calling 203-777-5636. Information on ticket packages as well as the promotions also can be found at www.cuttersbaseball.com.
