"With the excitement that has been built up for the Eastern League playoffs over the last several weeks, it's unfortunate that tonight's game was not able to be played as scheduled, but according to the weather forecast and precipitation that we had already received, it was in the best interest of the players and fans to postpone the game," said Curve General Manager Todd Parnell.
"We wanted to make the decision earlier than normal so that fans could receive word before traveling to the ballpark and to give them enough time to make the proper plans to join us on both Thursday and Friday."
The "Green Out" promotion scheduled for Game 1 will also move to Thursday night. Fans wearing green clothing or paint over 50 percent of their body will be eligible to win one of five televisions given away throughout the course of the night courtesy of Park Audio/Video. Two, 20-inch Sony flat screens, a 24-inch Sony flat screen, a 27-inch Sony flat screen, and a 55-inch large screen Mitsubishi will be given away in ascending order during the contest. Only one entry per person is permitted and winners must be present to take home the TV's.
As had been previously planned, 2004 Curve Playoff Presenting Sponsor Thomas Automotive Family will present post-game fireworks shows following each Curve home game.
