Curve-Howlers Postponed Again on Friday Night

CURVE, Pa. - Due to inclement weather, Friday night's home opener between the Altoona Curve and the Erie SeaWolves has been postponed and will be made up as a part of a doubleheader beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Gates for Saturday night's contests will open at 3:30 p.m.

The Curve will hand out the 2014 Magnet Schedule courtesy of Premier Carpet Cleaning and Upholstery Services to the first 5,000 fans before tomorrow's doubleheader. World Series style introductions will take place before Game 2 and postgame fireworks, along with kids run the bases, will follow the second game of the day.

RHP Adrian Sampson will start game one on Saturday and RHP A.J. Morris will take the second game of the twinbill for Altoona.

Tickets from Thursday or Friday's postponed games may be used for any other regular season Curve game during the 2014 season. Tickets may be redeemed for equal or lesser value seats based upon availability.

Pittsburgh Steelers defensive end Cam Heyward, who was originally scheduled to appear at Peoples Natural Gas Field for tonight's game, will now make his appearance at the ballpark on Saturday, April 19 for the Curve's 1 p.m. game against Richmond. Heyward will throw out the first pitch and sign autographs for two hours during that game.
