Curt Jacey Named 2007 Golden Baseball League Executive of the Year

The Golden Baseball League announced today that Reno Silver Sox General Manager and League Director of Operations Curt Jacey has been named the 2007 Golden Baseball League Executive of the Year. Mr. Jacey is the first member of the Reno Silver Sox organization to win the award.

"Curt did a tremendous job this season balancing the team and league level duties of his job. Not only did he create a more fan friendly experience in Reno at Peccole Park but he also contributed across the League in his role as Director of Operations," Golden Baseball League CEO Dave Kaval stated.

Curt has spent the past two seasons with the Reno Silver Sox and was promoted this season to General Manager of the club. Curt oversaw an expanded promotion schedule in Reno that included The Famous Chicken and an Election Night with real voting by local residents. In his role as Director of Operations for the League, Curt coordinated and managed all facets of the League's promotional items, merchandise vendors, and League wide sponsor fulfillment.

"I am honored to be chosen the Executive of the Year especially with such great colleagues here at the Golden League," Jacey stated. "I am most proud of my accomplishments here in Reno in making Peccole Park a great family destination for the residents of Washoe County."

Curt enters his twelfth season in minor league baseball. For the previous 10 years he was General Manager of the Bangor and Adirondack Lumberjacks of the Can-Am League. Jacey also was COO of Old Time Sports, LLC the parent company of the Lumberjacks and Evansville Otters of the Frontier League. He handled and oversaw all operations of both teams for five years.
