South Bend Cubs News Release

SOUTH BEND, IN - Due to the overwhelming demand for South Bend Cubs and Chicago Cubs World Series Champion merchandise, the Cubs Den Team Store will be opening a pop-up shop at University Park Mall beginning on Thanksgiving evening, November 24, 2016.

"With the holiday shopping season upon us, we have seen an increased demand for South Bend Cubs merchandise," said Team President Joe Hart. "And with the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series for the first time in 108 years, fans have been asking us to keep the Cubs Den open longer to accommodate those who work during the day. We decided to add a second location to help keep up with the increased demand."

The Cubs Den pop-up shop will be located at the center of the mall, next to Kay Jewelers, just west of Macy's. Hours of operation begin on November 24 from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. and on Black Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The store will be open during regular mall hours throughout the holiday season. Fans who make a purchase at the mall location on Thanksgiving and Black Friday will receive a free gift.

The University Park Mall location will carry Officially Licensed Chicago Cubs World Series Championship apparel and novelties as well as South Bend Cubs merchandise. Fans can also pick up information on tickets, Kids Club registration and purchase gift certificates to be used at the Cubs Den Team Store. The Black Friday Ticket Package is only available online and will not be available at the mall location.

The Cubs Den Team Store at Four Winds Field will be closed November 24 through 29 and reopen on November 30th at 10:00 a.m. Regular Cubs Den Team Store hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Four Winds Field location will be closed December 24 through January 10.
