Colorado Crush News Release

For the third consecutive year, the Colorado Crush will give football players a chance to earn a spot on its 2005 training camp roster when it holds open tryouts in Denver. The tryout will be held at the Family Sports Dome (6901 S. Peoria, Centennial, CO 80112) on Monday, December 13, with check-in at 7 a.m. Online pre-registration and further details are coming soon.

The open tryout is open to all football players nationwide ages 18 or older. Crush head coach Mike Dailey and his staff will be scouting the tryouts in search of the next offensive line or defensive lineman, fullback or linebacker, quarterback, wide receiver or defensive back, who can help the Crush improve on an 11-5 record and a trip to the AFL Semifinals.

All attending players will be put through a series of tests to measure speed, strength and agility. The tests will be followed by a series of offensive and defensive drills.

And there is always hope - wide receiver/defensive back Thal Woods is now entering his third season with the Crush after he was discovered at an open tryout held in Denver prior to the teams inaugural season in 2003. Woods, a Denver native, was a state track champion at Mullen High School and played at Colorado State University before making the Crush team and adding a third level of Colorado football to his resume.
