Colorado Crush News Release

NEWS & NOTES

· Broken Record: Colorado OS Damian Harrell made history in the 61-40 win over Las Vegas (4/3) when he caught a 21-yard touchdown pass late in the first quarter. After tying the record for consecutive games with a touchdown reception (41) at Dallas, Harrell set a new AFL record for consecutive TD catches (42) in regular season play, passing "Touchdown" Eddie Brown from Albany/Indiana Firebirds. Harrell extended his streak in Sunday's win over Philadelphia when he grabbed two John Dutton passes in the end zone.

· Windy City: The Crush travel to Chicago for the season's second meeting with the division rival Rush. The Crush have not lost since the Rush defeated them 51-48 in week three at Pepsi Center. The Rush enter this week's contest in second place in the Central Division, having won two games in a row. Colorado is looking for its first-ever win at Allstate Arena and second win over the Rush in franchise history. The Rush won the only other meeting in Chicago (65-35 on 2/22/04).

· D-E-F-E-N-S-E: As Harrell, Marshall and McKenzie catch TD passes, the Crush defense doesn't allow other teams to grab them. Colorado has held four of its last six opponents to 40 points or less, as they have won seven straight. The defense also leads the league in interception returns for a touchdown (5) and is second in fumble returns for a touchdown (4). In addition, the Crush defense has made a league-leading 15 sacks and is second in the AFL in turnover margin (+13).

· One is the Loneliest Number: But the Crush don't mind. Entering week 12, Colorado (8-2) has the best record in the AFL. Two teams have three losses on the season (Dallas and Georgia). The Crush became the seventh team to occupy the number one spot in the Arena Football League Writers Association (AFLWA) Top 8 Poll. The Crush are atop the poll for the second consecutive week after earning 13 first-place votes and 118 points.

· ArenaBowl XIX: ArenaBowl XIX will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada at Thomas & Mack Center. The Arena Football League chose Las Vegas as the first neutral-site championship location in the league's history. ArenaBowl weekend will include interactive player and celebrity events, such as concerts, an awards show, fan festivals and more.
