
Crush make roster moves in preparation for season opener

DENVER - The 2005 ArenaBowl Champion Colorado Crush announced today their roster that will take the field on Sunday, January 29th when the Crush host the Chicago Rush in a rematch of the 'Confetti Game" at 1:00 p.m. at the Pepsi Center.
The AFL's mandatory cut down date for teams to reach their regular season rosters is Monday, January 23rd. League rules allow teams to carry a roster limit of 24 players during the regular season. For every game, a minimum of 18 players and a maximum of 20 players will be declared active.
To reach their roster limit, the Crush released WR/LB Kevin McKenzie and waived OL/DL Maurice Anderson, WR/DB Herman Bell, WR/DB Tim Gilligan, OL/DL Jason Hardee, OL/DL Brett Huyser, FB/LB Paul Jefferson, QB Tim Levcik, WR/LB Darcey Levy, OL/DL Derrick Pickens, WR/DB Maurice Tucker, WR/DB Jabir Walker, WR/DB Wendell Williams and QB Joe Wiser.
In other roster moves, Colorado placed three players on Injured Reserve: OL/DL Craig Heimburger, WR/DB Evan Hlavacek and OL/DL Seante Williams.
