Crush Kick Off 4th Season At Maine Freeze

NEWINGTON, CT – April 8, 2004 – The Connecticut Crush Women's Professional Football Team opens its 2004 season on the road against the Maine Freeze on Saturday April 10th at Fitzpatrick Stadium in Portland, ME. Kick off is 7:05 PM.

In an effort to build upon last year's successes, the Crush made a several changes in the off- season including the acquisition of Head Coach Andrew Goetz and Assistant Coaches Will Moses and Mike Marino. In addition, the team has added several talented new players to the roster. With these key changes in place, the Crush, widely regarded as playoff contenders, are poised for another winning season in the National Women's Football League (NWFA).

The first Crush home game is scheduled for Saturday, May 8th at Veteran's Memorial Stadium in New Britain, adjacent to the home of the New Britain Rock Cats. The NWFA, the largest league in the world for women's full contact NFL-type football, was formed in August 2000 with just two teams.
