NEWINGTON, CT â September 19, 2003 â The Connecticut Crush Women's Professional Football Team is gearing up for the 2004 season, hoping to build upon last year's winning record with a new wave of talent. Open tryouts are scheduled to begin this Sunday, September 21st at Chesley Park, 35 Wildwood Street, New Britain, CT from 11AM to 5PM. Tryouts will run every Sunday for six weeks through October 26th. Prospective players must attend at least two of the tryout sessions to be considered for the team. Athletes will be assessed in numerous drills to determine overall speed, strength, conditioning, lateral movement, and much more. No prior football experience is necessary. Comfortable athletic attire is recommended. Sneakers or cleats are the required footwear.
