Crunch Sign Defenseman Kevin Roeder

Syracuse, NY (October 17, 2009) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed defenseman Kevin Roeder to a professional tryout contract.

Roeder, 23, has appeared in one game with Cincinnati (ECHL) this season, tallying one assist. Prior to turning pro, Roeder spent four seasons at Miami University (Ohio) from 2005-09, appearing in 152 games, notching five goals, 31 assists and 154 penalty minutes.

A native of Glenview, Illinois, Roeder attended the Crunch's 2009-10 Training Camp on a tryout basis.

The Crunch's next game is Saturday, October 17 as they travel to Wilkes-Barre to battle the Penguins. Season and single-game tickets are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473- 4444 or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial at Oncenter, located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
