Columbus also had a seven-game (4-0-3) unbeaten streak earlier in the year from 5/1 to 6/12 that ranks as the third longest unbeaten streak in team history. BUSCH TIES CREW RECORD FOR SAVES IN A GAME WITH 12
Though he was not forced into many difficult saves during The Crew's 1-1 tie at the MetroStars on Sunday, August 29, Crew goalkeeper Jon Busch equaled The Crew record for saves in a game with 12. The previous mark of 12 was set by Mark Dougherty on June 5, 1999, in a 1-0 loss at D.C.
CREW HAS MOST POINTS IN LEAGUE OVER PAST 19 GAMES
After starting the season 0-3, The Crew has gone 7-2-10 over the past 19 games with 31 points. The 31 points is tied for the most of any team over their past 19 games. Kansas City also has 31 points over its past 19 games.
COLUMBUS PUSHES ITS MLS RECORD TO 18-STRAIGHT SUCCESSFUL PENALTY KICKS
The Crew has stretched its MLS record to 18-straight successful penalty kicks after Ross Paule scored on a PK at the MetroStars on 8/29. Colorado held the previous mark of 14 consecutive without a miss.
FIVE STRAIGHT ROAD TIES SETS MLS RECORD

FIRST COLUMBUS CREW FOUNDATION AUCTION RAISES OVER $5,000
The First Annual Columbus Crew Foundation Auction that was held Saturday, August 21, raised over $5,000. All proceeds will go to the Columbus Crew Foundation (501(c) 3), benefiting The Crew's Kicks for Kids program. Kicks for Kids is a partnership program providing Crew game tickets for local children's organizations. It's an opportunity to give disadvantaged children, honor students, and other great kids the experience of a lifetime. The auction was the first of its kind at Crew Stadium and will take place next season as well.
"SOCCER AID II" RAISES OVER $8,000 FOR JDRF
"Soccer Aid II," a unique adrenaline-loaded fundraiser for Juvenile Diabetes Research, raised over $8,000 this year for the Mid-Ohio Chapter of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF). The exciting program was launched in the United States by Crew Head Coach Greg Andrulis in 2003, and capitalizes on soccer fans' passion for the sport to raise money for a disease that is very important to Greg and his family, Juvenile Diabetes. Greg's nine-year-old son Austin has diabetes. The concept is simple: Soccer fans bid on-line at TheCrew.com and MatchNight.com for a chance to win autographed soccer jerseys of premier soccer players from around the U.S. and world, as well as a chance to experience the thrill of match day at Columbus Crew Stadium. The winning bidder not only received the autographed jersey, but they got two tickets to The Crew's game vs. D.C. on August 21, a Soccer Aid T-shirt, played a 30-minute game prior to the August 21 game, and participated in a post-game reception with Crew players and staff. The two-year "Soccer Aid" total has eclipsed $20,000. Soccer Aid is fashioned after the highly successful "Football Aid" program from the United Kingdom, which grew out of a father's desire to create an exciting and rewarding way to raise funds for diabetes research. Craig Paterson founded "Football Aid" in May 2001 in the UK. Football Aid is now global with events throughout Europe, raising over $2 million.
